Glen Laurel Homes For Sale In Clayton Market Update July 2010 year to date

Glen Laurel in Clayton North Carolina is a beautiful community on The Neuse Golf Course. It is a development of single family homes that was started some years ago about 1993 but still has new construction homes being built and so there are numerous styles and price ranges to choose from.

There are older homes that are on the golf course that come on the market so if a golf course lot is what you like you might find it in a home that may require some updating.

Currently, according to the figures from the Triangle MLS there are 53 Glen Laurel Homes for Sale, the price range is from approx $209,000 up to $750,000, the average $325,000 and the average price per square foot is $112.

There are six properties contingent this could mean the buyers have a house to sell before they can move forward. Low price is $190,000 and high is $342,000.

There are five homes pending which means an offer has been accepted and this is the period that inspections are being done and the buyer is getting financing.Low price is $220,000 up to $450,000.

There have been eighteen homes sold in Glen Laurel this year and prices there have ranged from $186,000 up to $505,000. The average price per square foot was $108, and the average days on market was 268 days.

As with all of these numbers you have to keep an open mind they cannot be applied to every home. For example the lowest priced home sold in fifteen days while the highest sold in six hundred and thirty days....make sure you get all the information from a Real Estate Agent (like me) before you buy a home in Glen Laurel or anywhere. Was one a foreclosure snapped up by a bargain hunter or was one, new construction that took a year to build?

Star Wars in Concert at The RBC Center in Raleigh Was Awesome.

We took the boys to the Star Wars in Concert show at the RBC Center last week end and it was magic. Actually we tricked them by telling them we had been given free tickets to a hockey game (not big sports fans!). There was the usual whining whenever they are taken away from their friends and so when we arrived at the stadium, Kelly pointed to the sign "Star Wars in Concert". Poor old Conor still not realizing says "why can't we go to that instead of a stupid hockey game?". Then we told them!

 

 Ha we are the meanest parents in the world!!!

So we walk in and we see a crowd milling around and what do you know Storm Troopers, and all around the arena there were cool costumes, models, drawings, a music score.

The concert was really awesome with a symphony orchestra and chorus and gigantic screen where they showed scenes from the movies. It is narrated by Anthony Daniels the actor who played C-3PO in all six movies who is treated like a rock star. Two hours long and they loved every second of it! If you want to buy a $35 t-shirt don't wait till it's over they will be sold out!
