ActiveRain and Job Seekers.
I wrote a post about a company called Northeast Foods building a new plant here in Clayton on February 22ND 2010. You can read it here, Clayton Jobs Since then I have received at least fifteen calls asking about jobs at the plant, if I got their application, how do they apply for work. I even got two calls from sales people who were trying to reach the purchasing person. Today I got this email from my ActiveRain contact form and it confirms a couple of things (like we needed any proof!).
“hi my name is ****** and i have filled out sevral applications to your northeast foods i know there has been a lot of applications sumitted but my mane questin was just the address of the office where i can go to, to inquire about my application. I just want to show that i am serious about the job so whenever you have a brief moment i would really aprricate it if you could get back to me. thank you so much for takin time out of your day to just read this”
ActiveRain works, if you want to place on page 1 of Google then ActiveRain works. It does not have to be about Real Estate, in fact it’s probably better if it’s not about Real Estate. Hyper Local blog posts get read.
The second fact about this email and it is a sad one, we need jobs in this country, this company is in the manufacturing/ bakery business and are hiring less than a hundred people and they must be inundated with applications, if I’ve had almost twenty enquiries!
Relevant fresh up to the minute blog posts will get found and read and as a side note you can tell them you’re a Realtor when they ask if you are hiring. After all, a lot of times if people have new jobs they buy new houses!!
