Village Farmers Market Store on Hwy 42 in Clayton sells, well...Homemade Fudge for Starters!
The Village Farmers Market has grown over the years from a humble beginning to a full blown local treasure trove of preserves, honey, pies, fudge, bacon, eggs, plants, flowers, vegetables, ice cream.
The Market is located at 4684 NC Hwy 42E, Clayton, NC 27520 Phone 919-550-0765.
The Village Farmers Market is owned by Nolene and Brad Barnette, Nolene and her Mom Betty are the creators of the amazing fudge and the fantastic cakes and pies.
They are open Monday-Saturday 9-6 and Sunday 10-6
It is just down the road from Downtown Clayton, Archer Lodge at the intersection of Buffalo Rd and Hwy 42.
They make the desserts there and you can call and order your favourite cake or pie.
Outside they have a wide array of plants and shrubs, rose bushes.
Pine straw and wheat straw along with bedding plants and tomato plants for the gardener.
Don't forget fishing worms, which I can assure you work very well, too well actually, as we bought some on Monday and went to the pond at Portofino, and while fixing Rory's rod I heard a splash and to my horror my rod was in the pond, and as I reached in to grab it it took off like a rocket.
The moral of the story when you buy your worms from The Village Farmers Market don't leave your rod unattended!
I would like to help you sell your house, or help you buy a house.
