The majority of land around Clayton is agricultural and runs the gamut from small tracts of land to hundred acre farms. The land in this area is considerably less expensive than say in the Raleigh Wake County area, much of which is already developed.
There are pros and cons to consider, not least of which is what will happen to the land around your land, a factor rarely of consideration in a planned community, not always but mostly due to restrictive covenants and bylaws etc.
