Who Nicked My Blog Post?            Go on admit it you took it and hid it on me didn't you?

I wrote a blog post on ActiveRain on Friday titled Open House in Clayton This Weekend at Wyndfall There Will Be Three Houses Open.  and copied it to Trulia and Blogger. Nine minutes later it was position three and six on page one of Google for the search term "open house in Clayton". I have seen times where I will rank higher on my computer I believe because of cookies so I asked everyone in my office to Google "Open House in Clayton" and see where it ranked. Number three on one and four and five on another both page one. forty agents and only two replied, but that's another story!

So off I go and get ready for my three open houses ( which was a bust by the way). Saturday morning I Google " open House in Clayton" guess what? GONE I mean GONE!! Today my Activerain outside blog is on page three,  a Localism link is on page four, and my ActiveRain post page five. get this though, there is an older ActiveRain Post on page one.

Debe Maxwell wrote a timely post titled I Used to Think ActiveRain was the ONLY Blog I Needed where she addressed duplicate posts and the consensus appears to be that it does not affect your ranking on Google.Thanks Debe if you have not read it get over there and read it.

So can anyone help me find out where my post went and what I can do to get it back on page one of Google for "open House in Clayton" albeit a bit late?

Open House in Clayton This Weekend at Wyndfall There Will Be Three Houses Open.

We are having an Open House Event This Saturday in Clayton, at Wyndfall Subdivision, we will have 114 Kirkland Court open, along with 261 Wyndfall Lane, and 131 Carrie Drive. All homes will be open from 1-4pm and we plan on having some very important people present when it comes to buying a home.

Cindy Prince with Towne Mortgage of the Carolinas will be at the open house in Clayton at 131 Carrie Drive and she can answer all your questions about getting a mortgage, refinancing, fixing credit scores, etc.

Jayme Clark who is with Clear Choice Home Inspections will be on hand at the open house in Clayton to answer your questions about roofs,siding, appliances and what to look for in a house that you are trying to sell or looking to buy.

Steve and Eleanor Thorne with First Financial Services will be at 261 Wyndfall Lane at the open house in Clayton event. So if you would like to know about USDA 100% Financing and getting a mortgage for any of these homes these guys can help. Eleanor is also very experienced with Social Media, SEO, Wordpress and Blogging. The three houses open in Wyndfall all qualify for the USDA program, perfect for First-Time Homebuyers.

Did I mention the Wine and Dessert Tasting? In my previous life I owned a restaurant and made desserts that had a bit of a reputation so I will be doing a dessert and pairing it with a wine.There was never a better time for a visit to an open house in Clayton.  So if you want to see what happens when you pair Chocolate with Cabernet or a Moscato D'Asti with Fresh Fruit or a Resplendy with...I have not decided, then stop in and see.

Clayton Homes For Sale, Open House At 143 Tally Ho Drive Sat 15th May

We are having an open house at 143 Tally Ho Drive Tomorrow from 1-4pm. Hosted by Tom Bohlmann a car enthusiast who will show you around this great home.

This is one of the nicest and original Clayton Homes for sale, It looks like a Spanish Villa, and it gets better. New hardwood floors greet you as you enter the living room and they flow all the way to the dining room. The home sits on an acre (almost) of beautiful lawn and trees, which backs up to 200 acres of private woods.

Three bedrooms two baths a large dining room, large master bedroom, two car 20x25 detached garage, and there is a community pool for which you pay $20 a month, nice!

It has a Selma address but is closer to Clayton which is five minutes away. You can take the 64 bypass to get to The North Hills Mall and Downtown Raleigh in thirty minutes or take 540 and be at The Triangle Town Center in forty minutes and Raleigh Durham International Airport in forty five minutes.

Do Open Houses Work? They Did Yesterday, I Think!

(Open Houses Going On In Clayton And Garner Today.) This was the title of my post yesterday that I did not have time to finish ...So, an update.

We held two Open Houses yesterday Saturday 23rd January  the first was at 114 Kirkland Court in the Wyndfall Subdivision in Clayton. This three bedroom two bath ranch is listed at $149,900. It sits on about an acre of lovely trees and grass with the entire back yard fenced with privacy shadow-box fence. There is a shed, rain barrels,and a great play house for the kids.

Bob Peretic hosted the event and as I was leaving to show houses a couple pulled up. They looked at Bob and said "you look nothing like your picture". It turns out they live in Wyndfall (my neighborhood) and have been getting all my post cards about open houses, just listed etc and are now thinking of putting their home on the market and wanted to meet the neighborhood Realtor!

So hopefully I will be able to help them and if we get the listing I will co-list with Bob who just started in Real Estate.

Now I live in this neighborhood and have been selling in here for three years, but the owner of the house  Bob was in, I met at another open house in the neighborhood.

The second Open House was at 100 Stonecutter Court in The Woodlands Subdivision in Garner and this was held by Jerome Robinson, who lives in the neighborhood. This is a great three bed two bath home that has been updated with new paint carpets, and is move in ready. It is listed at $127,000 and is literally minutes from downtown Raleigh. He is holding another Open House there today from 2-5pm.

So I have not heard how yesterday went....but, the house has been on the market for two months with no showings and this weekend two showings, coincidence, I don't think so. I firmly believe that you must generate activity around your listings.
