REBarCampRDU Committee Knocks It Out Of The Park
There Will Be No Pictures in This Post!!
I brought the camera but it eats batteries for breakfast so no pictures were taken. Before you say it! I am going to be trading my Blackberry for a new one, Droid or iPhone I'm not sure.
The Committee that put on the Raleigh REBarCamp need to stand and take a bow, this was the best camp I have ever been to ( OK I've only been to one other one!)
It was full of interesting topics well presented by knowledgeable speakers and like Debe Maxwell said earlier there were times when there was more than one topic I wanted to hear. I did screw up by going to one session and missed my fellow Blog Brawlers in the session when Jenn Nowalk won the grand prize and bragging rights.
First time meeting Craig Rutman, he has dreadlocks now in case you didn't know!
This barcamp I did not bring my laptop, and here is what I would suggest if you are on the fence about going to one. You don't need to bring your laptop! I watched people in all the sessions while they could have been listening, look at their websites, go on the MLS and twittering away to beat the band while somebody was talking.I learned more at this one by listening.
I don't want to leave anyone out who helped put this on and they know who they are but I do want to mention Eleanor Thorne and Meredith Morgan who I know put a lot of time and energy into organizing this I want to personally thank you both for doing it!
I now have more things to do and if I can implement one idea I learned properly it will generate $$'s. To go tothe RDU REBarCamp it was $20, and you got lunch, all the coffee you could drink, and a t-shirt, Go to one if you can!
