Wake County Real Estate Market Update August 2009
In August 2009 there were 1,965 new listings down from 2,526 in 2008 a drop of 22.2 %. Closed sales were 1,104 in 09 down from 1,235 in 08.
The median sales price was down from August 2008 figure of $220,000 to $200,295, while the average sales price went from $275,005 in 2008 to $246,692 in 2009.
Average sales price in August 2009 was $246,692.
Average Days on market was 96 up from 78 in 2008
Inventory of homes for sale was 8,784 down from 9,729 in 2008
Sales price does not account for seller concessions.
