Homes For Sale Under $140,000 in Clayton and Archer Lodge.

Here are two great homes currently for sale in Clayton and Archer Lodge.

The first is in Wyndfall at 261 Wyndfall Lane, this is the last home I have available in Wyndfall as 114 Kirkland Court has sold and 131 Carrie Drive is Under Contract. Ole Mill Stream Subdivision in Clayton NC Has Some Amazing Homes.

Homes in this neighborhood range in price from the high $200,00 to the high $800,000. The subdivision is surrounded by woods and is bordered by the Neuse river, so some of the homes have water access. The ones I have seen have a long stretch of land with trees opening up to the river.

Some of the homeowners have built fire pits and seats from logs to enjoy the many evenings outside. This is a neighborhood for people who like the outdoors and don't care for a lot of restrictions. There is a pool but it is small!!

The homes were started in the late nineties and continue to today. The area around Clayton is starting to see a resurgence from the downturn and is poised to be a growth leader in the future with easy access to major highways, close proximity to Raleigh and Research Triangle Park and a short two and a half hour drive to the Carolina Coast.

Wyndfall Subdivision in Clayton on Thanksgiving for a walk.

Took a walk with the boys and their cousins this morning in Wyndfall, which is such a great neighborhood. Large wooded lots, most are at least an acre. Currently there are no homes for sale...Bummer!.

However we might have an option soon!

Homes in this subdivision are normally snapped up quickly, because

1. large lots.

2. Great schools

3. No city taxes

4. Close to shopping, etc.

5. USDA 100% financing

Wyndfall is in the new Archer Lodge district which is North Carolina's newest town. It is a neighborhood that was started in about 1997 and there are about two lots left, so it is essentially built out. The county is currently running water through some parts of the neighborhood

Edenton Subdivision, Clayton NC, Market Update.

Edenton Subdivision on Buffalo Road on the outskirts of Clayton has some beautiful large wooded lots, the homes range in size from about 1550 sq ft up to about 2400 sq ft.

Prices range from the low $170's to about the mid $250's, from April 2009 to October 2009 there have been five homes sold a high of $230,000 and a low of $182,900, the average price per square foot was $96. The average days on market was 141.

Prices do not reflect any closing concessions.

The Subdivision was started in approx 2000 and there are still some new (2009) construction available.There are no home owners dues.

The schools currently used by families in the neighborhood include River Dell Elementary,Archer Lodge Middle and Clayton High School (these schools may change as the school district is adding more schools)

As of today according to the Triangle MLS there are seven homes listed ranging in price from $169,500 for a 1571 sq ft two story built in 2000, to a 2400 sq ft house listed for $259,900 built in 2003.

Edenton is an easy drive to Raleigh, Smithfield, Shopping, numerous golf courses. It is approx forty minutes to Raleigh Durham International Airport.

The major employers in the area are Caterpillar, Talecris, Johnston Health and Johnston County Schools. Research Triangle Park, home to many of the top Technology, and Pharmaceutical companies is about 45 minutes away.

Riverwood Athletic Club Subdivision in Clayton NC is one of the larger subdivisions in Clayton. It is located about ten minutes from downtown. It is a planned community in that it has an elementary and middle school, shops, fitness center, swimming pool,creative learning center all within the subdivision.

The community has multiple housing options from townhomes to estate waterfront homes. Prices start at just over $100,000 and go up to $500,000. There is a full fitness center in Riverwood with a very active swim club. There is a sister subdivision called Riverwood Golf which is about ten minutes away and this golf course is available for members of the athletic club.

Riverwood is in Clayton's 27527 zip code which was just voted in the top ten in the country for having the best schools with the most affordable housing by BusinessWeek magazine. Riverwood Elementary and Riverwood Middle both relativly new schools are within walking distance for anyone living in Riverwood.

Riverwood is located with easy access to the Hyw 64 Bypass which provides access to major routes into Raleigh, Research Triangle Park and Raleigh Durham International Airport.

North Fort is a subdivision located just outside Clayton, North Carolina. It is made up of all brick/stone homes with prices ranging from the mid $200's all the way up to the mid $500's. There are some magnificent homes available in North Fort

It features a beautiful pond and a mixture of cleared and wooded lots. Homes available were built from the late 90's to today.

Homes range in size from just over 2000 square feet to about 5000 square feet. North Fort is centrally located for Clayton, Smithfield, Selmaand is within easy reach of Raleigh and Wilson.

Commuting times from Research Triangle Park and Raleigh Durham International Airport are made shorter with the construction of the 540 bypass. The Johnston County School District is who you should contact about schools. Area schools include River Dell Elementary, Archer Lodge Middle, Clayton High School, Powhatan Elementary, Clayton Middle, call the school district to find out what schools cover North Fort.

Caterpillar, Sysco and bio-pharmacutical companies like Talecris and Novo Nordisk are big local employers.
