The North Carolina Secretary Of Commerce, Keith Crisco in describing economic development news and said to expect one announcement a week.
They plan to announce between 500 and 1,000 new jobs over the next month. The majority of jobs are in manufacturing, which is a key component in stabilizing and encouraging more growth.
The Swiss company ABB Inc announced they will build a manufacturing plant in Mecklenburg County and they plan to expand their North American Headquarters in Cary, North Carolina, part of the Greater Raleigh area know as The Triangle. The average wage for the new jobs in Cary will be $64,008.
High Tech jobs in the Triangle continue to be the growth engine and have added jobs in recent months The North Carolina Technology Association says average daily job openings in August was 4560. Systems Engineering and Support were the most in demand.
Jobs in North Carolina have had a positive spin recently with announcements in Clayton, Research Triangle Park, Raleigh, Johnston County.
