When A Custom Builder Builds Your Home... You Get The Home You Want!

 

 

This is a new construction home in Clayton NC being built by Steve Corker of Corker Enterprises at Portofino Equestrian Community. Steve has noticed certain things he can change as the house has come up from the dirt, the easiest way to make changes is here. As Steve and his framing crew were working on the floor joists they were able to make changes like bump out a wall here and extend a doorway for example, now all the doorways are wheelchair accessible. There was some room to extend a bedroom, space that would have never been utilized now becomes a huge feature to a home buyer.

 

When the second floor went up Steve saw how he could make the best use of the space and again this is the one and only chance you are going to get to do this (without costing a fortune). The upstairs called for a bonus room and a large unfinished area. What Steve realized was there was tremendous potential be shifting things around. We have a lot going on at Portofino these days, we have two spec homes that have just been started, Lot 7 which is being built by Corker Enterprises, and Lot 13 which is being built by Jarman Homes. These homes are Custom Built Homes in the low to mid $400's.

There are two presales again both Custom Built Homes by the Builder Team at Portofino, Lot 70 is being built by NC Custom Homes and Lot 55 built by Crosswinds Custom Homes LLC.

New Construction at Portofino Equestrian Community. A Video Series Lot 13 #1

This is a series of videos where I will record the construction of a new home in Portofino in Clayton NC.

I hope to show the different stages of a homes construction from the ground up and hopefully get someone interested enough that they will make an offer before the house is finished. This home is on lot 13 in Portofino Equestrian Community and is being built by Jarman Homes a Custom Home Builder in Clayton NC. the floor plan is called The Matador.

The house in question is the personal home of Norwood and Sandra Thompson, the developers of Portofino. It is an amazing old/new house that was originally further back in the woods of Portofino and then moved to it's current location.

There was a basement dug and the house positioned over it. When Sandra and Norwood purchased the land that is now Portofino they renovated the house.They added a section to the back of the house but you would never know it is not part of the original structure.

The house now commonly known as The Red Roof Inn is spectacular with wide plank pine floors,  a spiral staircase to the basement, stunning cathedral ceiling, huge log burning stone fireplace. It has a very interesting kitchen with gorgeous granite counter tops.

We currently use the house as our sales office and Sandra and Norwood are always open to have people come by and get information about Portofino Equestrian Community. The house sits on a rise over looking the pond and the huge wrap around porch gives great views from all angles To the rear of the house is the luxurious twenty four stall barn and the paddocks and riding arena.

Portofino Equestrian Community, Builder Team Meeting and New Phase Started.

 

There is a lot of activity going on at Portofino in Clayton, the magnificent development of beautiful homes on over 350 acres.

We held a Builder meeting at the Red Roof House (Inn) and we were shown the designs for the newest phase which started this week.

The Farmhouse homes were designed by Cider House Studio, Inc, the brother, sister team of Holley and Brandon Carpenter. they have created a great set of floor plans designed with the outdoors in mind. They have not been finalized yet and as soon as they are we will have them for you.

 

The Builder Services Team from Coldwell Banker HPW put on a great presentation showing us the plans and the new designs for the brochures and promotion of Portofino, the best kept secret in town until now!

The roads for the newest phase were cut in and like everything at Portofino, because there is so much land and open space, the topography is quiet different out there. A huge canopy of old oak trees covers part of the entrance and rolling hills with big pockets of pine trees dot the landscape.

 

The opening date for the beach access pool is set for Memorial Day and Rob Baily the project manager has all the crews lined up to accomplish that.

 

So if you have not been out to see Portofino and you work in Raleigh or Research Triangle Park or if you commute for work, then you need to come see this beautiful development, there are only so many lots to be had and you will be pleased to see how close we are to all these places....And a mere two hours from the beach.
