Wine Tasting and Dinner at Skylines Cafe in Clayton North Carolina.
Great night of tasting wine and a superb dinner (with the boys) at Skylines Cafe in Clayton on Hwy 70W. The deal was $10.00 per person for the tasting, but if you bought a bottle of wine you got the ten dollars back, it is a killer of a deal because the wines were really good.
We tried a variety of wines from Linda Domaswho is a wine producer in Mclaren Vale in Southern Australia, most of whose wines get bought in the UK and Singapore.
We had a fantastic Viognier/Chardonnay, a big old Shot Bull Rose a Shiraz brilliant! Alchemy a blend of Granach and Shiraz of which we took a bottle home. Last but not least the Shot Bull Shiraz, big and just needed to breath a bit.
Dinner was perfect they do small plates of entrees so for a school night when you don't want to fill up these are great. Kelly had the Filet and Feta Penne Pasta $7! I had Pork Loin with Sweet Potatoes and Squash $8! For starters we had the Calamari. The boys were very happy with their meals and enjoyed the Jazz band who started just before we left.
