Those fly masks sure come in different shapes and colors - but it's gotta be less annoying than those pesky flies.
Is that what it's for? I thought it was way too funny!
WHY?
That doesn't look very comfortable...At least they could put some mesh around the eyes so the poor critter could see.
Juli,They love em, mch better than fifty flies buzzing around you.
Loreena, yep that's a fly hat and it works good.
Dee, see above!
John, they can see out of them just fine.
David, those flies must really be bad!
Occassionally, I'll see a horse with a fly mask here. They need to make a full body version of that for humans, so when they go camping, they'll be protected from mosquitos:-)
David,
Fly masks are very common in this area. My horse always wears a fly mask during fly season. His mask includes ears to keep the gnats out of them. Being a Thoroughbred, he is very sensitive to the flies.
Brigita
Why do I find it funny that Brigita has a "fly season" in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania? Flies here bother us 365 days a year, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events included.
Tony, relentless
Myrl, I have seen human versions, not something I would wear in public.
Brigita, yep we have a couple with the ear thingies too.
Jim, they give us a break here in the Fall, Winter, and Spring (sort of.)
OMG! Glad I read the comments. I thought it was some type of horse abuse! >.< Either that or there's a new slasher film (with Jason mask) for horses coming out. HAHA!
Lisa, it's what horses wear on Halloween!!
I have seen these on horses, now I know what they use them.
Why is what I want to know. Featured in the group Fridays Fotos...
Diane, they come in all different styles too.
Michael, Flies, Flies and more fFlies!
At first I didn't know if I should laugh or get upset. After reading the responses about the fly mask, I realized I don't know a thing about horses. I grew up in the land of concrete here in Silver Spring, MD where the only horse I rode was on the merry-go-round (I think it was a pony)!
That looks way to hot! I am LOL at Dan Quinn's (#16) last line of his comment!
Dan, I'm guessing ...no fly mask?
Joni, after a while they look odd without them!
