Dawn, it is a Praying Mantis and she had no fear of me in fact she looked like she was telling me to sod off!

Juli, you do have too many scary things for me I'll keep our friend!

The Praying Mantis has always scared me.  Not only do they look weird, but that whole female eating the head of the male after mating is just too creepy.

Hi David, When the aliens first visited our world, I think they came seeking those that looked simiar. When they found the preying mantis, I think they felt at home with their little cousin. Perhaps they left or maybe stayed , who knows, but the Praying Mantis is not talking. :-)

Carissa, that's why I moved away!

I told my husband about your post and he laughed. He said, "you know what they are... they're stick bugs." So now I know what it is. It's amazing what a close up of something can do. I didn't recognize it! LOL

Hi David - This insect looks like it has a little "back off" attitude!

Joni, I'll bet he wouldn't call it a stick bug to her face!

John, she turned her head slowly and gave me that look, I was outta there.

Hi David... I do not like insects... and I don't care how beneficial they might be... let them be beneficial away from where I am.
