Moving To Clayton North Carolina...Well Come On Down, Or Up, Or Across, Or Wherever You're Coming From.
Where are People coming from that are moving to Clayton North Carolina, well, all over is about the best way to describe it. Clayton, North Carolina has grown like many of the towns that make up The Triangle and while some have exploded in growth others like Clayton has been a bit more controlled.
So why do people make up their minds that they are moving to Clayton, well a lot of people get relocated with their jobs, Clayton has a diverse business base of various forms of manufacturing. People also choose Clayton even if their job is in Cary, Research Triangle Park, Wilson as housing is more affordable and schools are as good or better than neighboring towns can offer.
Others when it comes time to retire they decide they are moving to Clayton, because again housing is much more affordable than a lot of states. The weather in North Carolina is pretty mild with four distinctive seasons. There are a lot of golf courses in the area which is a big factor when moving to Clayton. We are two hours from the beach and three hours from the mountains.
Schools in Clayton have consistently been some of the best in the state and recently Business Week Magazine named the zip code of 27527 in the top ten for affordable homes with the best schools.
Money Magazine also did a piece relating the purchase of a home to the quality of the schools even if you do not have school age children as the up and coming schools districts will have an impact on the resale value of homes down the road, they cited three towns and Clayton was one.
There are numerous communities in and around Clayton with homes starting in the $100's and going up to the $500's and above. There are golf communities like Glen Laurel, Equestrian such as Portofino, planned communities like Riverwood and Flowers Plantation and smaller subdivisions that offer larger wooded lots like Wyndfall.

I've never been to Clayton NC, I think the closest I've been is Ft. Bragg back in the military days :)
I have to say these pictures are fantastic, it looks like an amazing place!
Jason, it is nice here, we have to go to Carolina Beach for the sun and sand but it's only two hours from Clayton.
