Equestrian Communities in the Raleigh Area

Equestrian Communities in  the Raleigh Area.Portofino Equestrian Community Clayton NC

This is an easy one as Portofino Equestrian Community in Clayton is by far the nicest and newest Horse facility the area has every seen.

First off the homes, Three Communities, The Churchill Collection, beautiful custom built homes starting at about $280-$350 on half acre lots. Next up The Belmont, larger lots of three quarters of an acre up to five acres and custom homes starting at about $415,000. The Estate section is called The Saratoga (are you starting to get the horse connection yet?) you can keep your horse on some of those lots.

Portofino Equestrian Community Clayton NCFour Hundred Acres of woods, pasture land, rock outcrops, steep gorges, creeks and a river and only 190 home sites. Some of the many reasons Portofino Equestrian Community is an Audubon Signature Community. We also have a team of the finest builders you will meet, all award winners of different stripes and all capable of building a dream home for anyone.

The North Carolina Builders Association just named Portofino the 2010 Community of the Year, a first for Johnston County.

There are approximately 15 pastures completed and about half have walk in sheds, the goal is for twenty pastures and about half will have shelter. The barn is a state of the art 22 stall barn with all the latest creature comforts, like fans, automatic water troughs, sprinkler system, showers, changing rooms, tack rooms, wash stalls. There is even an apartment for out of town guests overlooking the stalls.

The Indoor arena is being constructed shortly and the plans call for Portofino Equestrian Community Clayton NCa dressage ring, a show jumper ring a steeplechase course and of course the many miles of trails. There will be bleachers so residents can enjoy the lessons or shows and maybe watch their children fall in love with horses and enjoy the wonderful effect they have on people, especially children.

Howdy and evening to you David

David, the Portofino Equestrian community sure does sound like a mighty place for folks to live. Folks sure don't find a horse loving community everyday. Thats for sure!!!

Have a good one

David,

Sounds like a great horse community.  It'd be great to have one here.

Hey Dale you can't find one with new homes for sure, unless it's Portofino.

Brigita, we had a Horse Husbandry Dr. From NC State out who might give some talks here, that would be cool.
