WOW David!  I've heard of damage beavers can do, but I've never seen anything quite like that.  They really can be destructive little critters can't they:-)  Cool picture!

Nice! You know, growing up beavers where my favorite animal...  I have never seen one out in the wild.  I do have deer, skunk, mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, racoon etc...  But no beavers!

You have captured a great picture showing what damage these little guys can do.

Hi David... where's the beaver?  If he's not in the photo, how can you prove that he did it?  :-)

Hi David - are you sure that isn't a sculpture in the process of being carved by an artist?  The finishing touches would make a great video if you could set up night vision video and hope that you are not in the line of where the tree decides to fall!

I'm with Chris on this.  Looks more like a sculpture to me.

Thanks Guys, I have a follow up picture to take which will show the perils of being in charge of which way the tree will fall. Thanks for the comments, and Steve, proof is coming.

David, it is no wonder that beavers have such really, really bad teeth!

Well they are resourceful little buggers, as this tree fell onto another tree and got wedged at the top. That was what I meant with my comment about being in charge as I figured it was stuck there, so when I went to take a picture of it. What do you know they got it down, now all they have to do is drag it to the river. I will keep you posted and here is the tree on it's side. Timber
